Drawback

Michael F. Mitri is Executive Vice President of Charter Brokerage LLC.  Mr. Mitri is an attorney and a licensed customs broker, who co-founded Charter in 1994 with Mr. Phelan.  He specializes in the areas of drawback for the petroleum and airline industries, the tariff classification of petroleum products, and customs compliance related to the import and export of petroleum and petrochemical products.

Mr. Mitri is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Mr. Mitri has represented numerous oil companies, airlines and other clients before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Foreign-Trade Zones Board and other federal agencies.

Mr. Mitri received a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and a J.D. from Fordham Law School in 1987.
